A presentation ceremony for the Azerbaijani edition of the book “The Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Way of Peace and Trust” by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan (IIRMFA).
In his remarks, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, emphasized that the publication of the book in Azerbaijani represents a significant step toward conveying the essence and international significance of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality to Azerbaijani readers.
Noting that Azerbaijan respects Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, Gismat Gozalov said that his country supports Turkmenistan’s peace- and cooperation-oriented initiatives within the framework of the United Nations.
In this regard, he highlighted Azerbaijan’s respect for Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, which has been recognized by the UN, and noted that Azerbaijan had joined as a co-sponsor of relevant resolutions adopted between 1995 and 2026. He also emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan joining as a co-sponsor in 2026 of the resolution entitled “The Role and Importance of a Policy of Neutrality in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development,” proposed primarily by Turkmenistan.
