"To contribute to the efforts of the international community aimed at the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus and within the "Strategic Preparation and Response Plan" of the World Health Organization, the Azerbaijani government has made the decision to allocate the voluntary financial aid in the amount of 5 mln AZN to the "COVID-19 application" Foundation," the statement of the Cabinet of Ministers reads.
It is stated that the Republic of Azerbaijan highly appreciates the efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) aimed at the fight against COVID-19.
"The WHO's recommendations in connection with COVID-19 are taken into consideration and followed by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan Republic continues the favorable cooperation with the World Health Organization, and on March 8, 2020, a delegation consisting of the World Health Organization's experts will travel to the country," the statement reads.
