On March 5, the Armenian armed forces once again violated the ceasefire on Azerbaijan-Armenia state border in the direction of Gazakh region.

As a result of the enemy fire, border guard Orkhan Nazim Pashazade became a martyr at the border point near Gushchu Ayrim village of Gazakh region.

The statement of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads that the incident is a purposeful provocation, and the Armenian side bears full responsibility for this crime.

"The murder of our serviceman defending the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan clearly shows that Armenia's calls for the peaceful resolution of the conflict are nothing more than a lie and hypocrisy. Such criminal and disruptive activity of the Armenian military-political leadership hinders the resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations and thus, the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs and the international community," the Foreign Ministry's statement reads.

May our martyr rest in peace!
