Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulation letter to President of Sri Lanka Democratic Socialist Republic Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The letter reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
I cordially congratulate You and your people on behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own behalf on the National Holiday of your country – the Independence Day.
I believe that the bilateral friendly relations, especially within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, between Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka will further continue.
I wish strong health and success to You and peace and prosperity to the friendly Sri Lankan people."
