Our compatriots have achieved the cancellation of the screening of the Armenian film in Moscow, the purpose of which was to intensify the interethnic conflict and promote the separatism ideas in the territory of the Russian Federation.
According to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the premiere of the "Aran-mysterious country" feature-documentary film at the "Pobeda" Cinema in the Russian capital on January 26 was cancelled. In the film, it was claimed that Azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions were allegedly "historical Armenian lands".
Harshly opposing the film screening, chairman of the Community of Moscow Azerbaijanis Shamil Taghiyev appealed to the Department of Culture of the city authorities. The chairman of the community called for the cancellation of the film screening and warned that otherwise, an appeal would be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and relevant state bodies.
It is noteworthy that earlier, the Armenian provocation in Kazakhstan was prevented. As a result of the protest of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kazakhstan, the screening of the "Western Armenia, lost motherland" film based on the false facts was cancelled.
