An attempt by a sabotage group of the Armenian armed forces to violate the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan was suppressed on May 26, on the section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border, passing through the territory of the Zangilan region.
Citing the State Border Service, that owing to the vigilance of the servicemen at the border-combat point, the actions of the sabotage group were detected in a timely manner and the necessary measures were taken, as a result of which two servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces were detained.
Other members of the sabotage group fled, taking advantage of the difficult terrain.
