“The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is aware of the issue of the two Azerbaijanis. We are in contact with the families and relevant authorities and we aim to visit the detained persons as soon as possible,” the ICRC Office in Azerbaijan office.

“In accordance with its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment and conditions of detention of detainees during visits and provides conditions for restoring or maintaining contact with their families. Following ICRC procedures, observations and recommendations regarding visits are shared only with the detaining party,” the ICRC Office said.
