Since the start of the year, the number of the Azerbaijani population has increased by 0.3% (28, 247 people) and reached 10, 147, 380 people as of October 1, Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee has reported.

It has been noted that 53% of the population is village residents, 49.9% - men, 50.1% - women.
