Russia’s famous “Vedomosti” chooses Ilham Aliyev “Politician of the year”

Russia’s famous “Vedomosti” newspaper has published the results of its annual special project regarding the person of the year in 3 nominations.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been selected the “Politician of the Year” in the voting held among the newspaper’s readers.

The newspaper cites: “We can call Ilham Aliyev the only leader, whose army gained the military victory in 2020 and real triumph on a regional scale.”

It is noteworthy that “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko were also the nominees on the list.

U.S. President-Elect Joe Biden has been announced the “Politician of the Year” according to the editors’ choice.
