Two earthquakes hit eastern Türkiye

An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 hit eastern Türkiye, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said.

The epicenter of the earthquake was the city of Malatya.

The quake was at a depth of 6.96 kilometers.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), Malatya was struck by another earthquake of magnitude 5.2.
