The Journalism Faculty of Baku State University and the Teleradio Academy operating under the "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC have launched the joint cooperation.

According to AzTV’s Social Media and PR Department, on March 4, the Journalism Faculty of Baku State University and the Teleradio Academy operating under the "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC signed a memorandum of understanding.

Rector of the Academy Telli Aliyeva, prorector Almaz Nasibova, dean of the Journalism Faculty of Baku State University Vugar Aliyev and heads of departments have participated in the event held at the Teleradio Academy. 

Telli Aliyeva spoke about the modern development directions of the Azerbaijani journalism and highlighted the significance of practical training in the teaching of journalism. T. Aliyeva said that along with theoretical knowledge, practice is also necessary in the training of professional journalists.

Dean of the Journalism Faculty Vugar Aliyev noted that in accordance with the memorandum, teachers and students will receive an opportunity to take part in the projects implemented by the Teleradio Academy. At the same time, trainings will be held, joint round tables, contests will be organized for students of the Academy with the scientific-pedagogical support of the Faculty. 

It was emphasized that all the possible variants of cooperation are envisaged in the document, and the organization of joint events will contribute to the development of journalism teaching. 

Head of the Multimedia and Electronic Communications Department, professor Allahverdi Mammadli, head of the International Journalism and Information Policy Department Aynur Nasirova, head of the New Media and Communication Theory Department Khatira Huseynova, head of the National Press History, professor Jahangir Mammadli talked about the importance of joint efforts in the training of highly qualified journalists with broad outlook.

The participants stressed the importance of conducting research in the field of journalism, organizing creativity contests, meetings of students with famous journalists and writers, holding enlightenment events. 

At the end of the event, rector of the Teleradio Academy Telli Aliyeva and dean of the Journalism Faculty Vugar Aliyev signed the cooperation agreement.
