Azerbaijan participates in Frankfurt International Book Fair

An International Book Fair kicked off in Frankfurt, Germany. Some 10 thousand representatives of mass media from 63 countries along with the Azerbaijan Television cover the fair to last till October 16th. More in the next story. The Azerbaijani panel displays 300 kinds of printing products with over 500 books, magazines, booklets. The books dealing with National Leader Heydar Aliyev published in various languages arouse much interest of visitors. Moreover, a number of books about President Ilham Aliyev are also on display at the International Book Fair. Publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are also in the focus. They give coverage to the history, culture, art, national traditions of Azerbaijan in various languages. The Baku magazine also attracts attention of the visitors. The Azerbaijani panel showcases a number of publications on Armenia-Azerbaijan Daghligh Garabag conflict and the Armenian genocide policy against Azerbaijanis. The printing products demonstrated in our panel also include publications about Azerbaijani scholars, people of culture and art. Fair visitors appraise this event as a chance to study literature of various countries. Isabella Rendoni, an Italian visitor, said that she enjoyed viewing Azerbaijan’s panel and that she will soon visit Azerbaijan. Over 7300 people from 100 countries participate in the Fair. 290 thousand visitors as well as 181 thousand experts are expected to attend the event. Thus, Frankfurt Book Fair is called the congress of literary experts. The event enables them to get acquainted with innovations in this sphere. Each country showcases its publications, books and magazines. As usual, each year the fair has one honorary guest. This year’s guest is Iceland.
