Livia Klausova has been to the International Mugham Center, the Seafront National Park and the Magic Stitches gallery owned by Azerilma Ltd

As part of the Czech President’s official visit to Azerbaijan, his spouse Livia Klausova has been to the International Mugham Center, the Seafront National Park and the Magic Stitches gallery owned by Azerilma Ltd. First Lady of the Czech Republic Livia Klausova was told that the International Mugham Center was constructed on the initiative of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and occupies a special place among the Foundation’s projects targeting protection and promotion of national-spiritual values. President Ilham Aliyev signed an executive order on establishment of International Mugham Center in Baku on April 6th, 2005. Expressing thanks to Mugham performers first lady of the Czech Republic presented them discs with Czech classical music. Livia Klaus was presented “World of Mugham” music album produced by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The guest gave a keepsake to the International Mugham Center.

Arriving at the Seafront National Park, First lady of Czech Republic Livia Klaus has been to Mirvari restaurant, the most popular site of the park and invited to a tea table. Further, First lady of the Czech Republic took a tour in the park and was given information of the park’s history and the latest reconstruction and renovation works carried out here.

At the Magic Stitches gallery of Azerilma Ltd, First lady of Czech Republic Livia Klaus was introduced to unique Azerbaijani carpets and productions of Azerilme. She was briefed on the carpet weaving, one of the oldest and most traditional forms of art in Azerbaijan. Azeri carpets with rich ornaments and high quality adorn many museums in the world. There are 7 carpet-weaving schools in Azerbaijan according to geographical position and ornamental, compositional and technical peculiarities. Azerilme manufactures based on sketches carpets representing all classical carpet weaving schools. The guest was told that the yarns are dyed with natural dyestuff. Then the guest viewed the Magic Stitches gallery where over 500 hundred year old ancient carpets are displayed. The guest impressed by the Azerbaijani culture was presented the book “Azerbaijani carpets”. She left notes in the guest book. Highly appraising carpet weaving art of Azerbaijan, First lady of Czech Republic expressed satisfaction with how this ancient art is promoted.
