President Ilham Aliyev visited Mardakan settlement of Baku’s Khazar district

President Ilham Aliyev visited Mardakan settlement of Baku’s Khazar district over on-site inspection of what have been done thus far to implement instructions that the Head of State gave with respect to socio-economic development of suburban settlements of Azerbaijan’s capital. President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Mardakan settlement. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov briefed the Head of State on the works done in the settlement. The President was told some 16.500 thousand square meters of the roads got a new asphalt cover. Moreover, 19 thousand square meters of the area is planned to be paved with a new asphalt cover. The Head of State was told gas, water and communication lines in the settlement would be renewed. A modern lighting system will be installed in the settlement, as well. The President was informed that buildings of the school № 81, infant school and kindergartens № 91 and 221, hospital № 26 and sanatorium for consumptives № 2 will be reconstructed. All facilities will be provided with modern equipment. Then, President Ilham Aliyev met residents of the settlement. They thanked the Head of State for the improvement works and made their proposals.
