Azerbaijani President joins flower festival marking 88th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev

 A magnificent flower festival was arranged on May 10 in one of the Azerbaijani capital’s central parks to mark the 88th anniversary of the world-renowned politician, nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. President Ilham Aliyev and his family members joined the festival. President Ilham Aliyev and his family members arrived at the park in front of the Heydar Aliyev Palace to join the flower festival arranged to mark the 88th anniversary of the world-renowned politician, nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abultalybov informed the head of state that the festival featured various kinds of flowers brought from around 50 countries all over the world. The Head of State and his family members toured the park with flower compositions including portraits of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and depicting various fairy-tale characters and landmarks of Azerbaijan…. Then, a special species of tulips developed in honor of Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva by the Dutch-Azerbaijan Friendship Society. Director of the Dutch-Azerbaijan Friendship Society Marjon Van der Vegt presented a certificate issued by the Royal Dutch Bulb Growers Association for the new tulip species to Mehriban Aliyev to sign. Mehriban Aliyeva congratulated the director of the society on cultivation of a new tulip species and wished good luck. The festival was accompanied with various musical pieces.  The Head of State and his family members had a sincere conversation with children who had joined the festivities and posed for photographs…
