A delegation of the Milli Majlis will leave for Astana

On April 27, a delegation of the Milli Majlis led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov will leave for Astana, Kazakhstan to attend the second plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries TurkPAThe second plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries and a meeting of the Assembly Council will be held in Astana. Milli Majis spokesman Akif Tevekkuloghlu said that chairman-in-office of the Assembly Ogtay Asadov will deliver a report, in which will highlight what have been done in TurkPA so far and future activity of the Assembly. Protocol on making annexes and amendments to the Istanbul agreement as well as on cooperation the libraries of the parliaments will be signed at the meeting. Moreover, the participants are expected to adopt TurkPA`s flag and emblem. Head of the Kazakhstan parliament will assume presidency of TurkPA during the session. During the visit, Ogtay Asadov will meet Kazakhstan’s President, speaker of parliament, as well as heads of the delegations of various countries. The talks will focus on a number of issues, including development of bilateral relations and inter-parliamentary ties. As part of the event, a photo exhibition on “Independence of Turkic-Speaking Countries: development of new opportunities” will be arranged.
