President Ilham Aliyev receives president of Crans Montana Forum and Chairman of International Coordination Committee of World Public Forum - Dialogue of Civilizations

President Ilham Aliyev received Walter Schwimmer, former Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and current Chairman of the International Coordination Committee of the World Public Forum - Dialogue of Civilizations and Jean-Paul Carteron, the founder and president of the Crans Montana Forum. Being received by President Ilham Aliyev, Walter Schwimmer, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and current Chairman of the International Coordination Committee of the World Public Forum - Dialogue of Civilizations, said he was pleased to take part in the upcoming World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku. He emphasized the importance and positive contribution of the Forum into the preservation of the world historical and cultural heritage.

President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, said the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue has brought together lots of delegates from various countries. The Head of State pointed out that with this Forum Azerbaijan has turned into an imposing venue of grandiose international event. The International Forum, President of Azerbaijan said, contributes to the development of international cooperation and dialogue between civilizations. The President also said Azerbaijan had achieved rapid economic growth covering Baku and all regions.

When being received by Jean-Paul Carteron, the founder and president of the Crans Montana Forum, reminded his meetings with the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. He underlined importance of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, he attends, and also noted that it would promote international cooperation in culture fields.

Noting importance of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence it would promote strengthening of inter-civilization cooperation, bring the nations closer.
