OIC model in Azerbaijan - International Education Project launched

“OIC model – international education project” has started in Azerbaijan. The aim is to support enhancement of the international cooperation of the youth, assist the young persons wishing to work for various agencies and international organizations in getting experience in management and communications. For the first time within the frame of the OIC  model developed on Azerbaijan’s initiative the topical problems of international relations will be discussed, problems emerging in OIC space and having international influence will be debated and various proposals will be made to tackle them. The education model will be under discussion in 45 countries members to the organization. According to Head of the Political Analysis and Information Supply Department of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov, this project will lead to improvement of the education system. Secretary General of the OIC Youth Forum Elshad Iskenderov says that UN model was introduced in many international education centers. Under the OIC model suggested by Azerbaijan the youth will be given communication related and international knowledge and 2 months’ courses will be arranged among 100 students initially. He expressed assurance that as a result of the courses the well-trained young people would occupy their worthy place in the mechanism of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy. At the same time, they will represent Azerbaijan in international relations worthily. Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Intigam Babayev noted in their speeches that this project would be applied in the international system as the UN model. The project is implemented on the initiative of the OIC Youth Forum and other related bodies.
