India-Azerbaijan trade turnover makes up $ 335 million

Azerbaijani and Indian businessmen met in Baku on 30th March. The meeting takes place with organizational support of the Ministry of Economic Development, Azerbaijani Export & Investment Promotion Foundation and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.  The trade turnover between the two countries makes up $ 335 million - said Samir Valiyev, Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Economic Development at the meeting of businessmen from India and Azerbaijan. He added that big potential exists for enhancing the trade turnover and made a special emphasis the agreement to be signed between India and Azerbaijan on protection of investments soon. President of Azerbaijani Export & Investment Promotion Foundation Adil Mammadov briefed Indian businessmen on business and investment environment of Azerbaijan. Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Debnath Shaw believes that such visits will contribute to development of India-Azerbaijan ties. The meeting brought together some 50 businessmen engaged in agriculture, food industry, health, pharmacology, construction, chemical industry and other sectors.
