"Unlike Armenia, the Azerbaijani army never targets civilians. If we look at Khankendi and other cities, we will see that the Armenian army places firing points, military facilities in human settlements and targets Azerbaijan from there. This is the method used by terrorists," said assistant to the Azerbaijani President, head of the Foreign Policy Issues Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev in an interview to Al-Jazeera TV channel.
The assistant to the President noted: "The Armenian army had three main points in Khankendi. They fired missiles on Azerbaijani cities from there. The Azerbaijani army has destroyed those military targets. Probably, there were civilian casualties there. However, it was not done deliberately. Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan does not target the Armenians on purpose."
