Reconstruction of historical roads to Sugovushan, Talish villages launched

In accordance with the task of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the reconstruction of the automobile roads to Tartar region's Sugovushan and Talish villages liberated from the occupation of the Armenian armed forces as a result of the counter-offensive operations conducted by the Azerbaijani army on October 3 has been launched by Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Agency. 

According to Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Agency, the automobile roads with the length of 29 km are restored in accordance with the IV technical degree. The automobile roads to Tartar region's Sugovushan and Talish villages have been out of order and destroyed, as it was under the occupation for a long time. 

The construction works are carried out in high quality under the supervision of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Agency in accordance with the "Construction norms and rules" requirements. Therefore, the necessary manpower and technical equipment have been involved in the process. 

The construction of the road is carried out along the canal which flows from Sugovushan water reservoir to Tartar city. 

It is noteworthy that the automobile roads leading to Sugovushan and Talish villages were built in the 1970s in connection with the construction of Sugovushan water reservoir in accordance with the task of national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev. Currently, large-scale construction works are underway for the restoration of this historical road leading to the human settlements liberated from the Armenian occupation. 

It should be noted that overall, automobile roads of republic and local importance with the length of 2, 661 km existed in the Azerbaijani territories occupied by the Armenian armed forces. The 883-km-roads are of republic importance and the 1, 778-km-roads are of local significance. 

Moreover, 90 automobile bridges are located on these roads.
