The CIS Council of Heads of State will gather in Turkmenistan`s capital of Ashgabat on October 11.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with deputy chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Ivanov to discuss preparations for the October gathering of the heads of state.

Turkmenistan`s priority objectives during the chairmanship of the CIS include increasing the level of cooperation with international organizations, encouraging the expansion of trade and economic cooperation and ensuring integration into global economic system.
