Construction of modular hospital launched in Ganja

In accordance with the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the construction of a modular hospital has been launched in Ganja city.

Despite the mitigation of the special quarantine regime, there is still a risk of the wide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, preventive measures are underway. Within this framework, the construction of modular hospitals is in full swing.

The foundation of the hospital, which is being constructed near Ganja City Infectious Diseases Hospital, is completely ready. In the upcoming days, the installation of portable constructions will be launched. To ensure the commissioning of the hospital in a short period of time, water, natural gas and electricity lines will be laid. The new modular hospital will be commissioned in 45 days to ensure the efficient treatment of people infected with the coronavirus. The new hospital will consist of 100 wards. Every ward will have 2 beds. All the necessary equipment will be installed in the hospital for the treatment of coronavirus patients.

It is noteworthy that in accordance with the order "On additional measures in the field of strengthening the fight against the coronavirus pandemic" signed by the head of state, 6 modular hospitals are being constructed in the country. 14.8 mln AZN have been allocated from the state budget for the construction of these hospitals.
