A videoconference dedicated to the socio-economic results of the first quarter of 2020 was held on April 14 under the chairmanship of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Speaking about the measures taken in the first quarter of the year, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the continuation of reforms had yielded good results.

Highlighting the works carried out within the framework of the fight against the coronavirus, the head of state noted that the situation in Azerbaijan was under control. President Ilham Aliyev gave the government a number of tasks in connection with the pandemic and said that 2020 would be the period of reforms envisaging numerous fields. He also talked about the economic indicators of the first quarter of the year.

Afterwards, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev and Agriculture Minister Inam Karimov submitted their reports.

President Ilham Aliyev finished the meeting.
