24 new coronavirus cases have been detected, one person has died of the disease in Azerbaijan, the statement of the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic reads. 

It is noted in the statement that 24 people infected with COVID-19 have been placed in special regime hospitals. A coronavirus patient born in 1957 has passed away depsite all the efforts to stabilize his condition. His family members and people whom he has contacted are identified and taken in quarantine.  

It is noteworthy that overall, 298 coronavirus cases have been registered in Azerbaijan. 26 of them have recovered, and 5 people have died. Currently, 267 people are cured in special regime hospitals. 11 of them are in a critical condition, 15 people are in a moderately serious condition. Relevant measures are taken in connection with the examination of 4, 602 people placed in quarantine.
