Entry to Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron being restricted

The measures on the restriction of the movement at all levels and strengthening of social isolation are continued to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, for this purpose, starting from March 19, 00:00 o’clock, the entrance of vehicles registered in other cities and regions and their passengers, except ambulances, rescue vehicles, as well as trucks, to Baku will be suspended until March 29.

It is prohibited for passenger vehicles (buses, microbuses, taxis, etc.) registered in Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region to carry passengers from other cities and regions of the country to Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region.

The entrance and exit of vehicles registered in Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region to and from Baku city is free.

The Operative Headquarters urges automobiles and other passenger transportation vehicles registered in Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region not to travel beyond their residential points and stop carrying passengers.

Passenger transportation from all cities and regions of the country, except Sumgayit and Absheron, to Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region is terminated.

A break is imposed on passenger transportation from airports throughout the country to Baku.

People, who violate the special regime rules, will be held accountable.
