The first session of the 6th-term Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic is underway. 

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is taking part in the session.

Head of the Milli Majlis Apparatus Safa Mirzayev has opened the session and congratulated the MPs. It has been noted that according to the second article of the Internal Charter of Milli Majlis, the first session of the Parliament is conducted by the oldest MP, and this mission has been given to Ziyad Samadzade.
