The name of the participant, who will represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision 2020 International Song Contest, has been revealed. This year, Samira Afandi will represent Azerbaijan in Rotterdam city of the Netherlands.

Earlier, she took part in the popular musical projects, such as "The New Star", "The Big Stage" and "The Voice of Azerbaijan". The singer participated in the "Silk Way Star" International Vocal Television project in Almaty in 2017 and "The Voice of Nur-Sultan" International Festival in 2019.

It is noteworthy that the semi-final stages of Eurovision 2020 will be held in the Netherlands' Rotterdam city on May 12 and 14 with the slogan of "Open up!", and the final will be held at the "Ahoy Arena" on May 16. The Azerbaijani participant will take part in the second part of the first semi-final of the Eurovision 2020 Song Contest.
