Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has once again talked about the 8-hour work schedule while receiving chairman of the Board of Directors of Baku Transport Agency Vusal Karimli.
The head of state reminded that if somebody forces employees to work illegally, exploits them, they will be punished: "Another issue is security, the training of drivers, their medical observation and work schedule. I have recently stated that nobody has to work for more than 8 hours a day. If anybody forces employees to work illegally, exploits them, they will be punished. Surely, I am confident that the drivers working at Baku Transport Agency meet these criteria. The comfort of people is also an important topic. People feel very comfortable on modern buses. The bus service should be the way that even people with personal vehicles prefer using public transport. I consider that we are close to reaching this objective.
Definitely, additional measures will be taken for the cleaning of the bus park, and at the same time, currently, the buses brought to our country are ecologically clean, as it is no secret that vehicles pollute air the most. Not industrial facilities or trade centers, but vehicles. Therefore, the entering of the "Euro-5" brand gasoline that will be produced in Azerbaijan to the market will cause a great improvement in this field, at the same time, the import of the buses operating on liquefied gas and electricity; the creation of the relevant infrastructure for this is necessary. For this reason, additional steps must be taken in this direction."
