President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva commemorated on January 20 – the National Mourning Day the memory of January 20 martyrs at the Alley of Martyrs.

The head of state laid a wreath in front of the "Eternal Flame".

The state anthem of Azerbaijan Republic was played by the military orchestra of the Defense Ministry.

State and government representatives, heads of religious communities, ambassadors of the foreign embassies in Azerbaijan, representatives of international organizations honored the memory of the martyrs.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov, chairman of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov and head of the Presidential Administration Samir Nuriyev also participated in the commemoration ceremony.
