"A record number of candidates has been registered for the snap parliamentary elections to be held on February 9 in Azerbaijan," said chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in the information session entitled “The coverage of the elections in media" on January 16.

The CEC chairman noted that according to the information as of January 15, 1, 534 candidates have been registered for the elections.
