"New taxi cars will be brought to Baku," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev while receiving Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade.

The head of state asked when they would be brought to the country: "At my instruction, new taxi cars must be brought. Provide information regarding this; whether contracts have been signed or not and when will the new taxis be brought to our city?"

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade noted: "1, 500 London cabs operate in Azerbaijan. 1, 200 London cabs are at the disposal of our Ministry. In accordance with your instruction, we have ordered 100 new London cabs meeting the modern standards. They will be brought to Azerbaijan within 3 months. Their advantage is that they work not on gasoline, but electricity. I would like to note once again that these taxis fully meet the modern standards."
