As earlier reported, the major repair works have been carried out at the Children's Psycho-Neurological Center by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation; a new corpus of the Center has opened.

The treatment of children under the age of 7 is carried out at the Center constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2009.

Children deprived of parental care, as well as children, who are daily treated, are among those applying to the Center consisting of 100 beds. Approximately 100 children benefit from various services. The staff of nearly 170 people is engaged in the treatment and upbringing of children suffering from epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism and Down Syndrome.

The treatment rooms have been renovated after the overhaul. Modern methods have been applied.

Psychologist of the Center Gamar Mammadova says that every child is treated as an individual.   

The treatment and integration of children with physical disabilities in the society are always in focus of the state. Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva regularly visits the center. After the recent renovation works, she has viewed the conditions created at the Center.
