The renovation works of the House of Baku Khans Complex dating back to the XVII-XVIII centuries have been speeded up.

Initially, the 4, 500-square-meter area was cleaned from waste for the repair and renovation of the House of Baku Khans.

A museum will be established in this historical venue. The museum will operate in the 3D format.

Over the recent years, the historical architectural monuments of both local and international importance, such as the Maiden Tower, Shirvanshahs Palace, Mahammad Mosque, Baylar Mosque, Gosha Gala Gates, have been restored. The works carried out are also noticed by the world’s influential organizations. The placement of Icherisheher (Old Town) on the ISESCO Islamic Heritage list at the extraordinary meeting of the Islamic World Heritage Committee in Rabat city of the Kingdom of Morocco is another evidence of this.

The changes in Icherisheher also attract the attention of tourists coming to the country. Experts say that 9 out of 10 tourists definitely visit Icherisheher.
