Azerbaijan Television has been awarded in connection with the 2019 Year of Nasimi.

Being a guest on the "Main Topic" program of AzTV, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev noted that the Television has been awarded for the information support for the Ministry's ecological project. Highlighting the significant role of AzTV in the promotion of the project in world countries and operatively informing the public about it, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to media representatives on behalf of the Ministry.

It is noteworthy that 2019 has been declared the Year of Nasimi in honor of great Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi.

At the initiative of Azerbaijan’s First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, 650, 000 trees have been planted across the country on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of Imadaddin Nasimi.
