An international scientific-practical conference entitled “Nasimi 650: the Herald of the Truth” is underway in Baku.

The event is organized by the Caucasian Muslims Office.

Addressing the event, chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade noted that the declaration of 2019 the Year of Nasimi by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was a great value showed to our people’s history. He highlighted that during his visit to Syria, national leader Heydar Aliyev visited the grave of Nasimi. Thus, the vision towards Nasimi and his creative activity changed. Numerous works have been written about Nasimi. However, thorough research still has to be done to investigate his creative activity. Nasimi still has to be studied.
