26th meeting of OSCE Ministerial Council to kick off in Bratislava today

The 26th meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers will be held in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava on December 5-6.

AZTV.AZ reports that over 40 Foreign Ministers from 57 members states are expected to take part in the meeting. The meeting will be held under the motto of "For population, dialogue and stability".

Ministers from the OSCE member states and partner countries, high ranking state and government officials will discuss security challenges and problems in Europe and other regions of the world.

According to Slovakia's Foreign Ministry, this meeting creates an opportunity to achieve better cooperation on the targets set during the country’s chairmanship. The prevention and resolution of conflicts, as well as reduction of its influence on people and promotion of beneficial multilateralism, are among these targets.

It is noteworthy that a delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mamamdyarov is on a visit to Slovakia’s capital to participate in the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
