In accordance with the instruction of the head of state, relevant measures are taken for Azerbaijani carpets to take their place in the world markets. Within the framework of the carried out works, an exhibition of Karabakh carpets will be organized in New York and Washington in the upcoming days.

It will be possible in accordance with the Protocol of Intent signed between “Azerkhalcha” OJSC and the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce.

The first event will be held in the main building of the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce on December 2nd.

It should be noted that 55 types of Karabakh carpets having colorful diversity and different patterns have been sent abroad. The main purpose of this is to turn Azerbaijani carpets to the world brand.

It is noteworthy that 21 carpet factories operate in Azerbaijan. Another facility is set to be opened next year. So far, 13, 000-square meter carpets have been produced in these factories. In order to increase the production, teaching courses are also held for carpet weavers.
