Sabunchu –Pirshaghi line of Baku Circular Railway of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC was inaugurated after the renovation works.

“The renovation works carried out on the Absheron Circular Railway line and perspective plans… One of Azerbaijan’s priorities... Overall, another station has been commissioned on the line consisting of 17 stations and stops.

After the commissioning of the station, passengers will be able to arrive from Pirshaghi to Baku Railway Station for 25-30 minutes.

It means not only saving time and reducing travel costs, but also the intensification of the railways, electric trains connecting Baku settlements with the center.

The overall construction area of Pirshaghi station is over 10, 000 square meters. Six underground passages for vehicles and passages for pedestrians have been built in the direction of Sabunchu-Zabrat-1-Zabrat-2-Mammadli-Pirshaghi railway.

The Absheron Circular Railway line connects entire Absheron, including Khirdalan. The road connecting Absheron circle – from Baku, Bilajari, Khirdalan, Sumgayit to Novkhani, Fatmayi, Mahammadli, Zabrat-1, Zabrat-2, Zabrat-3, Sabunchu, Bakikhanov and Koroghlu will be completed by the end of the year. Thus, it will be possible to carry 25-30, 000 passengers daily. It means both the comfort of people, and the reduction of highways' load.
