77 years pass since the death of general-major Hazi Aslanov, the only Azerbaijani who was awarded the title of the two-time hero of the Soviet Union.

Hazi Aslanov was injured on January 24, 1945, near Latvia's Priekule, away from the battlefield. He died 23 hours later on the way to Moscow.

He was laid to rest at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The footages depicting how the general-major's body was brought to Azerbaijan, the farewell ceremony with him and his funeral have been posted on the "AzTV History" YouTube channel.
