The State Border Service of Azerbaijan has organized a media tour to the Azerbaijani border with Armenia - the checkpoint established on the Gorus-Gafan road - Gubadli's Eyvazli village.

Along with the State Border Service, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Statistics Committee also serve there.

The Gorus-Gafan road was one of the frequently used transport projects in the region during the USSR. From this point of view, this road is important for the restoration of communications in the region. At the same time, it allows the increase of cargo transported through the region.

Now, Azerbaijan's checkpoint is operating here.

Vehicles belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran are allowed to pass only after registering at the checkpoint.

Approximately 50 trucks a day are inspected using training dogs of the State Border Service.

Within the framework of the media tour, journalists have also visited the checkpoint in Zangilan region's Gazanchi village. The situation is that if Armenian citizens do not want to pass through that checkpoint, they can reach their destination by losing extra 3 hours. Armenian citizens have not used these checkpoints yet.
