People's Artist of Azerbaijan, stage director Aghakishi Kazimov has died at the age of 85.

The actor born on November 28, 1935, dedicated the big part of his life to the theatre. 

In 1952-1957, he studied in the Faculty of Acting of Azerbaijan State Theatre Institute.

In 1960, Aghakishi Kazimov was appointed the chief director of Guba State Drama Institute. In 1969-1970, he worked first as a head, later as a chief director at Sumgayit State Musical Drama Theatre.  

In 1987, he was awarded the title of Honorable artist, and in 2000 - the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan.
