"I am proud of my father, because he participated in the battles. My father has become a martyr for the sake of the Motherland. I am proud of my father," martyr, hero of the Patriotic War Farid Hajiyev's son Eshgin Hajiyev says.

Maybe, our hero wanted to celebrate his 31st birthday in Jabrayil. Probably, he imajined it when the war began, as he stepped on the land of Jabrayil 27 years later. However, it was not destined to happen. Farid was born in October of 1989 in Jabrayil region's Boyuk Marjanli village. He grew up with the longing and sorrow for the Motherland. His biggest dream was to see Jabrayil free. Therefore, he went to the army. He had been serving in the army for 8 years.

According to the martyr's mother Zamina Guliyeva, Farid used to ask what kind of place his village was: "When he left his village, he was 4 years old, he did not recognize his village. His grandmother told him about the village. On the eve of the war, he came again and asked his grandmother about the village.

Our hero was an intelligence officer. He joined the battles since the first day of the Patriotic War. He took part in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil, Khojavand, Fuzuli. His last battle was in Fuzuli. He became a martyr during the battles in the direction of Alkhanli village of the region. He has left his two children behind.

Farid Hajiyev's sister Fariza Hajiyeva notes that she will always hold her head high: "I will hold my head high, because my brother died for the sake of the Motherland. He was a very good brother. He did not want his mother or sister to have any difficulty, shed a tear. He loved his Motherland a lot, he was a patriot. Maybe, he experienced his patriotism inside."

His relatives say that he had been interested in military, sports since childhood. In the school years, he participated in the "Falcon" Military Games. Like he was preparing for a battle...

Our hero's teacher Bayram Behbudov is proud of Farid: "A teacher is always proud of their student. I am also proud of Farid. I am proud that the students I taught have lived with the love for the Motherland and chosen the Motherland - like Farid."

It is noteworthy that in accordance with the orders of the head of state, Farid Hajiyev has been posthumously awarded the medals "For the sake of the Motherland", "For the liberation of Khojavand" and "For the liberation of Fuzuli".
