Three agencies have been exempt from VAT (value-added tax) in Azerbaijan.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has made an amendment to the decree on the approval of "The list of public legal entities exempt from VAT for rendering works and services at the expense of the funds allocated from the state budget".

In accordance with the decree, the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Quality Insurance in Education Agency under the Ministry of Education and the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population have been exempt from VAT.
