Azerbaijani President has telephone conversation with Russian counterpart

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on April 1.

According to the Press Service of the Azerbaijani President, during the telephone conversation, the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed. Satisfaction was expressed in connection with the general situation and complying with the ceasefire regime.

Taking into consideration the negotiations deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk had held in Baku, the works carried out for the regulation of the economic relations and transport communications in the South Caucasus in accordance with the statements of the Azerbaijani, Russian Presidents and Armenian Prime Minister dated November 10, 2020, and January 11, 2021, were reviewed. The activity of the working group co-chaired by the three countries' Deputy PMs was positively assessed. 

The cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus was also touched upon. 

An agreement was reached on the continuation of the bilateral relations.
