A movie about Khojaly is being shot in Zagatala. 

The film entitled "The light of hope" produced by Azerbaijan Television will be presented to viewers on February 26 - on the 29th anniversary of the tragedy. 

The selection of Zagatala for the filming is not a coincidence. Thus, the landscape of this region is similar to Khojaly's landscape. The shootings are being held in Mughanli, Kapanakchi and other villages. 

"The light of hope" tells the story of the baby who was saved during the Khojaly genocide. During the evacuation of the survivors via helicopter, a mother forgets one of her children. The torch in the hands of the baby becomes its light of hope. It becomes possible to rescue the child with the help of that torch.

The scriptwriter is Afag Ahmadova. Helicopters and military equipment have been used on set.
