"Clearing the liberated territories from mines is the primary mission. These works should be carried out, so that no unfortunate accident would happen after the works are completed," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev while receiving in a video format newly appointed chairperson of the Board of Members of the Mine Clearance Agency Vugar Suleymanov. 

The head of state noted: "Unfortunately, in recent days and after the war, unfortunate accidents have occurred in the liberated territories. I would like to address the Azerbaijani citizens, I ask them not to go to the liberated territories without permission, illegally. On the one hand, I understand the step taken by people. They have been longing for their Motherland for many years. Each former IDP wants to return to their native lands, native villages soon, but I ask them to wait. They better wait a little bit, so that the mine clearing process is completed, as this is a big threat to both pedestrians and automobiles. After the war, several such unfortunate accidents have occurred, people have died, they have been injured. At the same time, people at the checkpoints should organize their work more strictly, so that an end would be put to illegal visits to the liberated areas."
