The report cites: "As known, the process of war prisoner and hostage swap has been launched between Armenia and Azerbaijan starting from December 14. During the individual conversations Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva has held with the returned war prisoners and hostages, they gave information about the torture and inhumane treatment they had been subjected to in Armenia. During the preparation of the report, the testimonies of those captives and hostages, the materials circulated on social media and other facts have been used."

The torture and other brutal inhumane treatment cases towards the Azerbaijanis while being captive and hostage have been presented in the report.

At the same time, it has also been highlighted in the report that the treatment of Armenian war prisoners is monitored by the Azerbaijani Ombudsman.

In conclusion, the Ombudsman has drawn the attention of international organizations to the violation of the international humanitarian norms, especially the Geneva Convention, by Armenia and called on them to bring the war criminals to justice.
