Criminal case launched against COVID-19 patients who violated quarantine

Employees of Absheron Region Police Department have detained resident of Saray settlement, coronavirus patient Emin Jafarguliyev who was undertaking treatment in home conditions.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the investigation, it has been determined that Emin Jafarguliyev is an active COVID-19 carrier and has grossly violated the quarantine rules by leaving his house several times. Police officers have detected Emin Jafarguliyev in a public place and returned him home following the medical procedures. A criminal case has been launched against him according to Article 139-1.1 (the violation of the quarantine regime) of the Criminal Code. 

Another measure has been taken by employees of Khatai District Police Department. Active coronavirus patient Zaur Asadov has violated the rules and gone to a public place. Thus, he has been detained due to creating conditions for the spread of the virus. Surveillance cameras caught him leaving his house despite multiple warnings. 

A criminal case has been initiated against him in accordance with Article 139-1.1 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
