"After Shusha was liberated from occupation, the enemy realized that resisting us will not mean anything. A day after Shusha was liberated from occupation, the heroic Azerbaijani army liberated 70 more human settlements and actually, this was the last blow to the foe. It is no coincidence that on November 10, the enemy, in fact, signed a capitulation act," Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev said at the groundbreaking ceremony of Fuzuli-Shusha automobile road speaking about the historical significance of Shusha's liberation.
The head of state said: "The liberation of Shusha from occupation has demonstrated our power, the professionalism of our army, bravery, heroism of our servicemen. The liberation of Shusha was an operation requiring very big professionalism and courage. I am confident that this operation will take a special place in the world military history, as our heroic servicemen armed with light weapons carried out this operation passing through mountains, forests, trails. The liberation of Shusha from occupation is our glorious victory!"
Highlighting that the construction works have already been launched, the Azerbaijani President noted that 8 days after the Victory Day and 6 days after Armenia's capitulation, Fuzuli-Shusha automobile road from Alkhanli settlement is already being paved. This road will be very comfortable and broad. It will give an opportunity to travel to Shusha easily.
